When I meet entrepreneurs/small business owners, one of the first things I ask them, is if they have professional images of themselves and their products/services. The number of my clients who say no is high, and this is for a variety of reasons, either they are too self-conscious, or they have not placed enough value on the importance of good quality images, both of themselves as the entrepreneur, or of their services and products.
Personal branding photography (for example), plays a massive part in the marketing for your business/trade, and helps to show your potential clients who you are as a Founder, allowing them to get to know you on deeper level. It’s a way to build trust and create a connection that goes beyond your brand name. For me personally, I always book in a shoot annually to update my photos, so they are reflection of me and the way I look now, rather than how I looked 10 years ago when I started my first business, with no greys and a smaller waist. My regular shoots provide me with ample content for social media posts, blog posts, press photos and so forth. Using the same images repeatedly can become mundane, plus, as individuals, we have various facets to our personal style, personalities, etc. It’s good to have variety, and a bank of images to choose from when needed.
Personal Brand Images can be used for the following:
I always try to switch up my shoots a little, some uber professional and smart, and others are a little more casual and fun, as both images serve different purposes. For example, if I am being invited to talk at a corporate event, I may send across one of my smarter images. However, if I am speaking at a consumer event, regarding a relatable subject, I may use one of my more casual images.
My most recent shoot was conducted by the incredibly talented Gregory at Blue Eye Picture Studios. I have known Gregory for years, through one of my businesses www.brideclubme.com. Gregory is not only an experienced wedding photographer, he also specialises in corporate photography, shooting anyone from a global CEO, through to creative entrepreneurs, actors and more.
My session with Gregory was professional yet relaxed and a whole lot of fun. Gregory has the knack of bringing out the best in his clients in front of the camera. He not only makes you feel gorgeous, he ensures he snaps the very best of you and captures your true essence as a business owner/leader/professional.
Below are some of my favourite pictures from our shoot, and if you are looking for your own personal branding photos, I highly recommend connecting with Gregory and his team at Blue Eye Picture.
